HISTORY
Acts Praise & Worship Center was founded by Pastor Andre C. Camp in June of 1993. The first services were held in a storefront at 13 West Broadway, Fort Meade, Florida. There were 3 in attendance at the first service besides the Pastor and wife Tamala. Worship services were held at this location from June 1993 until August 28, 1994.
In September 1994, God answered Pastor Camp's and others prayers and the church moved to the present location. It was not necessary for many renovations to be done to prep the sanctuary for worship services. From this first service in 1994 APWC has grown to over 200 members. The ministry continues to change lives by reaching those searching for what only Jesus can give them, allowing the Holy Spirit to be its guide, and helping people reach their God ordained destiny.
OUR VISION
God has given Acts Praise and Worship Center a VISION, a divine plan that will help reconcile all who are willing back to God. We realize that our local, national, and worldwide vision is blurred. We seek to accept, through the grace and guidance of God the task that is now before us. Realizing that there is a great leadership crisis within the political and humanistic arenas, we the Body of Christ must begin to fill the void so that our nation might be healed and our prayers heard. Our VISION includes establishing institutions that will bring out the best in all of us. So that people might be educated in the Holy Word of God.
THE VISION THAT GOD has given:
Because this VISION that God has given us includes all of America we must be dedicated to
constituting the following:
v Alcoholics, prostitutes & drug addicts will be changed
v Ministers will give over to the rigors of studying God's Word and
stop promoting racism
v The Church will be the answer to hunger (spiritual and physical)
v We will let the world see that there is a GOD
CATCH THE VISION!!!
God is seeking those who will devote 100% of their time and talent to the betterment of His kingdom. We may not be able to win the world, but we must make every effort to reach all who have an ear to hear. We face old problems with a renewed commitment and a made-up mind. Our mission is more than just a wish list. It is an agenda of reconciliation. Developed minds and strengthened characters are our priorities. Our VISION is God’s VISION, for it brings hope to the Church’s agenda for today and tomorrow. It is a work that we can, should and must fulfill.
